He has pointed out about the history of the humanity to show that innovation didn't show up recently but it was existed with the beginning of the humans , then He talked about the difference between breaking innovation and technological breakthrough
because there is often confusion between breaking innovation and technological breakthrough. And yet these notions are totally distinct. To clarify things, here's what to remember:
Technological breakdown:
It is a new technology that provides superior performance compared to existing technologies. It supplants and replaces them. But it does not create a new market. Indeed, new technology is generally developed to improve the performance of a product or service in an already existing and mature market. This is why it brings an incremental innovation and not a breakthrough innovation.
Breaking innovation:
Breakthrough innovation is an innovation that leads to the creation of a new market , radically different from existing markets. It consists of a change of concept for customers . In general, it brings customers radically higher profits at a radically lower cost. Contrary to appearances, it is often based on existing and proven technologies.
Second conference with Mr. El Alaoui Issam.
Open source software and Big Data are two trends that go hand in hand. Both reflect the realities of today’s applications which have to handle data that is exponentially growing in volume, moving too fast, and varies greatly in content. This new reality brings short, iterative development cycles along with lower costs through cloud computing and scaling systems across commodity hardware.
